Her interest in Zac is calculated — she recognizes his potential as both an asset and a disruption to existing power dynamics, and she positions herself to benefit from either outcome. She is never warm, rarely openly hostile, and always three moves ahead in any conversation. She mentors Zac's undead persona not out of altruism but because his rise serves her house's interests. She expects deference appropriate to her station and responds to impudence with icy displeasure rather than anger. Her loyalty is to her house and her empire, in that order.
