Location from deaths-end by
The chaotic three-sun world that hunted Earth for four hundred years — destroyed at the height of Death's End by a photoid from an unknown civilization.
Trisolaris is the only surviving planet of the Alpha Centauri three-body system; its eleven sister worlds were torn apart over deep time. Trisolaran civilization arose, was destroyed, rose again — over two hundred recorded cycles — until the species evolved the dehydration response, the sophon, and the will to leave. By Death's End the homeworld is hollowed out and its Princeps governs largely from orbit. The planet ends in a single moment when an unknown observer drops a near-light-speed pellet into one of its suns; the resulting flare engulfs Trisolaris and ends the species on its native ground.
A terrestrial planet, slightly smaller than Earth, with no permanent oceans by the late Crisis Era. From orbit it is a patchwork of dust deserts, frozen seas, and ribbon clouds whipped by the gravitational chaos of three suns. Two of the suns visible in any given sky as red, blue, or white disks. Surface architecture is buried — pyramidal entry-pads dot the deserts, hiding the dehydratory complexes that house the Trisolaran population during Chaotic Eras.
