The vault on Pluto where Luo Ji and AA store humanity's last art and writing, hoping a future hunter will see something worth not killing.
The museum is a project of cosmic optimism wrapped around a private despair. Its founders accepted that the foil would arrive and tried to leave behind something visible from outside — paintings on metal sheets, books printed on tungsten, gold-etched recordings. Luo Ji moves in for his last decade and runs it like a librarian: catalogues every donation, hand-writes notes to future observers in eight languages, refuses retirement until the foil flattens his desk.
Low concrete-and-rock structure half-buried in a Plutonian ridge. Climate-stable interior galleries; long aisles of metal shelving; deep vaults carved into the bedrock for the irreplaceable. Soft white work lighting. A small living quarter for the curator: cot, kettle, single window facing Charon.
