Halo Group began as the commercial vehicle for Cheng Xin's accidental ownership of the DX3906 system (Yun Tianming's anonymous gift). Under AA's CEO tenure it became one of the largest corporations in human space; under Wade's tenure (after Cheng Xin transferred control to him in Australia) it became the cover for an off-the-books lightspeed program that produced humanity's first curvature drive in defiance of UN regulation. By the late Bunker Era, Halo Group is both the Solar System's most successful private firm and its largest open conspiracy.
