Roger runs the day-to-day operations of Wammy's House after Watari's death. He's the one who delivers the news of L's death to Near and Mello, and he watches helplessly as Mello storms out rather than cooperate with Near. Later he serves as Near's 'Watari' — a pale echo of the original, but functional. He's kind, patient, and perpetually out of his depth with the prodigies in his care.
