Demegawa is the media incarnate in Death Note — opportunistic, amoral, and addicted to attention. He broadcasts the Kira tapes on Sakura TV. He becomes Kira's unofficial spokesperson. He organizes mobs of Kira supporters. His morality stat is officially 2/10. He eventually gets killed by Light (via Mikami) when his greed makes him a liability — he tried to profit from his Kira connection too blatantly.

Appearance

Heavyset, loud, with a perpetually sweaty face and expensive but tasteless clothing. Everything about him screams 'television executive who would broadcast a hostage situation for ratings.' His smile is as genuine as his journalism.
