Zhaoge appears chiefly through the Three Body game and Trisolaran reports relayed by the sophon. It is the seat of decision-making for the Trisolaran civilization that received Ye Wenjie's signal: where the Princeps approved the fleet, where the consul advised Listener 1379's suppression, and where the strategy of treating Earth as a colonizable target was finalized.
A vast windowless stone pyramid rising from a dark plain, surrounded by tens of meters-tall pendulums whose swinging stones are kept in motion by armored work-crews chanting in unison. Inside the pyramid: tunnels lit with torches, a low central hall with the ruler on a dais, and the pale-faced advisor in black who is functionally death.
