Stellar-class warships are humanity's pride: the largest manned combat vessels ever built, capable of fifteen percent of the speed of light over years-long burns, equipped with weapons that can break a planet's surface. They are also, against the droplet, almost completely useless — automated point defense cannot track strong-interaction projectiles, and gamma lasers cannot scratch them. After the Doomsday Battle the remaining hulls are eventually demilitarized into transports.
Long pale cylindrical hulls with spinal weapon ridges and forward observation blisters. Each crewed by approximately twelve hundred and seventy. Nuclear-fusion drives that paint the dark in long blue exhaust. Internal acceleration tanks for deep-sea state operation.
