Chang Weisi

Chang Weisi is the institutional adult of the early Crisis chapters. He runs the joint operations rooms where NATO and PLA officers stop being national and start being human. He recognizes Zhang Beihai's quality and does not pry into his interior. He recognizes Shi Qiang's value and protects it. He dies of old age before the Doomsday Battle, leaving the Space Force to commanders who never met him.

Appearance

A composed Chinese man in his sixties, close-cropped graying hair, dress uniform with a row of unobtrusive ribbons. Speaks slowly, deliberately, with the small smile of a strategist who has read the brief twice.
