Wizard of Wines Winery

Location from Curse of Strahd by Tracy & Laura Hickman, Chris Perkins / Wizards of the Coast

The only winery in Barovia, run by the Martikov family — its enchanted gems have been stolen, its wine production has stopped, and evil forces are closing in.

The Wizard of Wines is more than a winery — it is one of Barovia's last bastions of normalcy. The Martikov family has produced wine here for generations, sustained by three enchanted gems that allow grapes to grow in Barovia's cursed soil. Wine is the one comfort left to the Barovian people, and the winery is its only source. But the gems have been stolen. One was lost long ago. Another was taken by the corrupted druids of Yester Hill. The third was seized by Baba Lysaga. Without them, the fields are failing and the cellars are running dry. Davian Martikov, the patriarch, is desperate. The winery is currently under siege by twig blights and corrupted druids. The Martikovs — all wereravens — are fighting to hold it, but they're outnumbered. If the winery falls, Barovia loses its wine, and with it, perhaps the last thread of morale holding the settlements together.
