A cave system in the mountains where Barovia's werewolf pack lairs — currently led by the savage Kiril after he imprisoned the moderate Emil.
The werewolf den is a network of natural caves in the mountains west of Krezk. The pack lives here in a savage parody of community — hunting, fighting, and howling at a moon that barely penetrates Barovia's overcast skies. Under Kiril's leadership, the pack has become more aggressive, raiding settlements and kidnapping children to be raised as new werewolves. The caves are rough, damp, and lit by guttering torches. A shrine to Mother Night occupies a deeper chamber, where Zuleika prays for her imprisoned mate. Stolen children are kept in a pen, terrified and half-feral. The den is dangerous but also a place of potential alliance — freeing Emil and deposing Kiril could turn the pack from enemies to reluctant allies.
