Location from Curse of Strahd by Tracy & Laura Hickman, Chris Perkins / Wizards of the Coast
The audience chamber of Castle Ravenloft — a vast hall where Strahd holds court, though the throne sits empty more often than not.
The throne room is a grand hall of pillared stone, its ceiling lost in shadow. Strahd's throne sits on a raised dais at the far end — a massive carved chair that looks less like a seat of power and more like a stone cage. Faded tapestries depicting the von Zarovich conquests line the walls. Strahd rarely sits here. He prefers to rule from shadows, appearing when and where he chooses rather than waiting for subjects to come to him. The throne room is used primarily for dramatic encounters — Strahd arranging a scene for maximum theatrical impact when he chooses to confront the adventurers directly.
