Location from Curse of Strahd by Tracy & Laura Hickman, Chris Perkins / Wizards of the Coast
The village church where Father Donavich prays ceaselessly while his vampiric son Doru howls from the undercroft below.
The Church of Barovia stands at the edge of the village, its bell tower dark and silent. Inside, Father Donavich kneels before a battered altar, praying in a hoarse whisper that never stops. Below the floor, in the undercroft, something howls and scratches — his son Doru, turned vampire spawn by Strahd, locked away and starving. The church is a study in futile faith. It should be a place of sanctuary. Instead, it is a place where a father keeps vigil over the monster his son has become, and where the prayers go unanswered. The floorboards rattle when Doru throws himself against the undercroft door.
