The ruined manor of the silver dragon Argynvost, now haunted by the revenants of the Order of the Silver Dragon — knights consumed by hatred who refuse to let anyone destroy Strahd.
Argynvostholt was once a magnificent manor built by the silver dragon Argynvost as a base for the Order of the Silver Dragon. Now it is a ruin — walls collapsed, towers crumbling, the great hall open to the sky. The revenants of the fallen knights haunt its corridors, trapped between life and death by Vladimir Horngaard's all-consuming hatred of Strahd. The manor sits on a hill overlooking a misty valley, and even in ruin it carries an echo of former grandeur. Faded banners bearing the Order's silver dragon sigil hang in tatters. The beacon tower at the manor's peak stands dark — if Argynvost's skull were returned and placed there, it would emit a holy light that could bring peace to the revenants and hope to all of Barovia. Argynvostholt is dangerous not because its inhabitants are evil, but because they are righteous men driven mad by vengeance. They will attack anyone who they believe might threaten their mission of eternal hatred — including anyone who wants to destroy Strahd.
