Character from Curse of Strahd by Tracy & Laura Hickman, Chris Perkins / Wizards of the Coast
The burgomaster of Krezk — a stern but good man who keeps his village walled and isolated, fearing the outside world with good reason.
Dmitri Krezkov leads the village of Krezk with the quiet authority of a man who knows that his walls are the only thing between his people and annihilation. He is practical, cautious, and deeply suspicious of strangers — the last group of outsiders who came through brought nothing but trouble. He will not open Krezk's gates without good reason. Dmitri is grief-stricken. He and his wife Anna have lost several children to illness, and the weight of it shows in his lined face and careful speech. He manages his sorrow by focusing on duty — the walls, the supplies, the daily routines that keep Krezk alive.
