Cyrus Belview

Character from Curse of Strahd by Tracy & Laura Hickman, Chris Perkins / Wizards of the Coast

A mongrelfolk servant at the Abbey of Saint Markovia — grotesquely altered by the Abbot's experiments, he serves as a sad, shuffling guide to the abbey's horrors.

Cyrus Belview is one of the mongrelfolk who inhabit the Abbey of Saint Markovia — humans subjected to the Abbot's experiments, given animal parts in a twisted parody of healing. Cyrus has been grafted with features that make him barely recognizable as human. He shuffles, he mumbles, and he follows the Abbot's orders with the resigned obedience of someone who has no other options. He is pitiable rather than threatening. He will answer questions if spoken to gently, though his answers tend toward the confused and sad. He knows the abbey well and can serve as an inadvertent guide to its chambers and its horrors.
