Character from Curse of Strahd by Tracy & Laura Hickman, Chris Perkins / Wizards of the Coast
Vallaki's eccentric toymaker whose creations are deeply unsettling — he crafts the Ireena dolls for Izek and greets everyone with 'Is no fun, is no Blinsky!'
Gadof Blinsky is Vallaki's toymaker, and his creations are the stuff of nightmares — not because he intends them to be, but because Barovia's curse seeps into everything, including the creative process. His toys are macabre: dolls with too many teeth, stuffed animals with real glass eyes, puppets that seem to watch you. He considers them masterworks. Blinsky is cheerful, rotund, and completely oblivious to how disturbing his work is. His catchphrase — 'Is no fun, is no Blinsky!' — is delivered with genuine enthusiasm. He is one of the few people in Barovia who seems to actually enjoy his life, which is either admirable or deeply concerning. He crafts the dolls of Ireena for Izek Strazni without questioning why the baron's enforcer wants dozens of dolls depicting the same woman. Blinsky needs the commission. A monkey named Piccolo sits on his shoulder.
