A silver dragon who died fighting Strahd's conquest of Barovia — his stolen skull prevents the revenants of his order from finding peace.

Argynvost was a silver dragon who established a manor in the valley and founded the Order of the Silver Dragon — knights dedicated to defending the land from evil. When Strahd conquered Barovia, Argynvost fought him and was slain. Strahd took the dragon's skull as a trophy. The dragon's spirit cannot rest while his remains are scattered. His skull, if returned to the beacon atop Argynvostholt, would emit a holy light that could bring peace to the revenants who haunt the ruin — including Vladimir Horngaard — and would serve as a beacon of hope in the darkest corners of Barovia.
