The Comitium

Location from Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas

The Archangel's tower — Lunathion's seat of power where angels, bureaucrats, and soldiers enforce the Asteri's will from behind polished marble and firstlight-reinforced walls.

The Comitium hums with authority and barely suppressed tension. The marble floors click with military boots, the elevators carry bureaucrats and soldiers in alternating loads, and every conversation is carefully modulated because the walls have ears — sometimes literally, through surveillance wards. Under Micah, the Comitium was a place of fear — guards watched guards, and the Governor's mood determined whether the day would end in paperwork or blood. Under Celestina, the tension eased but didn't disappear. The building itself seems to remember what happened within it.

Appearance

A massive tower of white stone and glass that dominates Lunathion's central district. Its upper floors are landing platforms for angel patrols, its mid-levels house administrative offices, and its lower levels contain the 33rd Legion's barracks and armory. The architecture is deliberately imposing — soaring ceilings, marble corridors, and walls that pulse with protective wards visible as faint blue veins in the stone.
