Lunathion's human district — where the species at the bottom of the Vanir hierarchy live in the shadow of a system designed to remind them of their place.
Asphodel Meadows has the energy of a neighborhood that takes care of its own because no one else will. It's loud, vibrant, and defiant — street musicians play on corners, neighbors argue across balconies, and the local businesses have the fierce loyalty that comes from serving a community the system ignores. It is also underfunded, over-policed by angel patrols that view humans as potential trouble, and chronically underserved by the firstlight grid that powers the rest of Lunathion. Residents here work twice as hard for half the comfort, and they know exactly why.
Dense, walkable streets of modest apartment buildings and small shops, lacking the firstlight infrastructure that wealthier districts take for granted. The buildings are older, shorter, and more tightly packed. Street art covers many walls — some political, some beautiful, most both. The lighting is dimmer than the Fae or angel districts, and the sidewalks are cracked.
