Sandriel

Character from Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas

An Archangel whose cruelty toward her slaves defined Hunt's worst centuries — the embodiment of what unchecked angelic power becomes when paired with sadism.

Sandriel is cruelty refined to an art form. She enslaved Hunt after the Fallen rebellion and spent centuries breaking him down — not because she needed to, but because she enjoyed the project. She is politically cunning, militarily competent, and completely devoid of the empathy that might make her hesitate before torturing someone for information or entertainment. She views slave angels as property and treats them accordingly. Her death at Hunt and Bryce's hands was one of the series' most cathartic moments.

Appearance

Tall and coldly beautiful with immaculate white wings and sharp, aristocratic features. She wears her power like jewelry — everything about her presentation is designed to remind people of the gap between her station and theirs. Dark hair pulled back severely. Eyes like polished obsidian.
