Lidia Cervos

Character from Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas

Agent Daybright — the Asteri's most trusted Hind who is secretly Ophion's most valuable spy, a double agent who sacrificed her children's safety and her own soul to burn the system from within.

Lidia is the series' most complex moral figure. She serves the Asteri as the Hind — their chief interrogator and intelligence officer — while secretly feeding every scrap of useful information to Ophion through the Daybright identity. She has tortured people. She has betrayed people who trusted her. She has done terrible things to maintain her cover, and she carries every one of them. Her connection with Ruhn (through mind-speaking as Day and Night) is the only space where she exists as herself rather than a role. She sent her twin sons into hiding to protect them from being used as leverage, and the cost of that separation is written into every decision she makes. She is neither villain nor hero — she is someone who decided the war against the Asteri mattered more than her own morality, and is living with what that costs.

Appearance

Tall and athletic with golden hair, sharp amber eyes, and the controlled beauty of someone who uses her appearance as a weapon. In her deer shifter form, she is elegant and golden. In either form, she carries herself with military precision — perfect posture, measured movements, nothing wasted or accidental.
