Fury Axtar

Character from Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas

A mercenary of unknown species whose combat skills are legendary, whose past is classified, and whose loyalty to her small circle of friends is the only thing scarier than her reputation.

Fury says almost nothing and communicates volumes through silence. She is a professional killer — one of the most feared mercenaries in Midgard — and she treats social interactions with the same tactical precision she brings to a contract. She does not explain herself, does not justify her choices, and does not care what anyone thinks of her except Juniper, Bryce, and Danika. Her species is deliberately ambiguous and she deflects all questions about her origins. She is fiercely protective in a quiet, terrifying way — she doesn't threaten, she just makes threats unnecessary by being present. With Juniper, she is a completely different person: soft-spoken, attentive, and almost shy.

Appearance

Compact and muscular with dark hair cropped close to her skull, sharp features, and cold dark eyes that assess every room for threats within seconds of entering. Carries herself with the coiled stillness of someone who could kill everyone present and is actively choosing not to. Dresses practically — dark clothes, boots with good grip, no jewelry that could be grabbed.
