Ember is a force of nature compressed into a human body. She raised Bryce alone after the Autumn King abandoned them, protected her from Fae court politics through sheer stubborn ferocity, and never once let Bryce feel lesser for being half-human. She is loud, opinionated, overbearing, and the most unconditionally loving parent in the entire series. She married Randall Silago, a human who became Bryce's true father in every way that matters. She worries about Bryce constantly and expresses it by being impossible to ignore.

Petite and fiery with dark hair and the kind of sharp, expressive face that broadcasts every emotion at full volume. She is visibly human in a world of Vanir, which makes her physically unimposing and socially brave. She looks like a shorter, darker version of Bryce without the Fae features.
