Lindon's hunger arm is what happens when a soulsmith integrates a binding from the source of all hunger madra into his own body. He lost his original left arm and replaced it with this construct — a weapon that consumes. When he grabs an opponent with the hunger arm, it drains their madra, steals fragments of their techniques, and feeds the stolen power into Lindon's own cores. It's terrifying to fight against because defense doesn't help — the arm doesn't cut or burn, it takes. Block a sword and you take damage to your armor; block the hunger arm and you lose a piece of yourself. The arm is also Lindon's connection to the broader hunger-madra network, giving him insights into the Dreadgods' cycling patterns and Subject One's state.
