Character from Cradle by Will Wight
A Dreadgod of dream and mental domination — the most intelligent of the four, it doesn't destroy cities, it enslaves minds and turns populations into puppets.
The Silent King is the Dreadgod that Monarchs fear most because it's the only one that thinks strategically. The other three are forces of nature — the Silent King is a chess player. It uses dream madra to dominate the minds of every sacred artist and sacred beast within its influence range, turning entire populations into extensions of its will. It is the mental-domination aspect of Subject One's hunger — where the Titan consumes physically and the Phoenix consumes through blood, the Silent King consumes identity. Its victims don't die; they become tools. This makes it uniquely horrifying.
The most alien-looking of the Dreadgods — a vast feline form composed of white and silver dream-madra that seems to exist partially outside physical reality. Its eyes are deep pools of psychic energy. It moves silently, without sound or spiritual signature, and sacred artists within its influence range find their thoughts becoming not their own.
