The Bleeding Phoenix is the most insidious Dreadgod because its attacks multiply. When it flies over a populated area, it rains Blood Shadows — parasitic constructs that latch onto sacred artists and either consume them or turn them into berserkers. An area the Phoenix has visited doesn't just suffer destruction; it suffers an epidemic. Yerin's Blood Shadow is a fragment of the Phoenix's power, which is both the source of her greatest weapon and the reminder that the Dreadgods' influence is personal, not just apocalyptic.
A vast avian form composed of liquid blood-madra rather than flesh — it shifts between solid and liquid states, raining drops of itself onto the landscape below. Each drop becomes a Blood Shadow that seeks a host. Its wingspan blocks out the sky, and its scream is a spiritual attack that weakens madra channels in everything that hears it.
