Orthos came to Sacred Valley before Lindon, driven by the bond they share and an old dragon's instinct that something terrible was approaching. The suppression field has weakened him to a fraction of his true power, but Orthos has never been defined by his stage — he's defined by his refusal to stop fighting. He has been working with Kelsa, preparing what he can. The valley sees a sacred beast of impossible power. Orthos sees a cage full of children who don't know they're about to die. He is blunt, impatient with Sacred Valley's petty hierarchies, and utterly loyal to Lindon's family by extension of the bond.
A massive black-scaled turtle-dragon, his shell scarred from centuries of battle. In Sacred Valley's suppression field, his power is diminished — his Blackflame runs cooler, his spiritual pressure muted — but he is still the most terrifying sacred beast anyone in the valley has ever seen. His eyes burn with orange-red light.
