Wei Shi Lindon

Character from cradle-bloodline by

An Overlord returning home to Sacred Valley — so far beyond the valley's understanding of power that the clans cannot comprehend what their disgraced Unsouled has become.

Lindon has returned to Sacred Valley as something the valley has no framework to understand. An Overlord. A man who has fought in the Uncrowned King tournament, bonded an ancient Blackflame dragon, carries a mind-spirit named Dross in his head, and wields hunger madra that eats other techniques alive. And Sacred Valley looks at him and sees Wei Shi Lindon, the Unsouled, the family embarrassment. The gap is agonizing. He came home to save everyone — his parents, his sister, his clan, the entire valley — from a Dreadgod that will crush them all. But the suppression field dulls his authority, the elders dismiss warnings about the outside world, and his own family can't reconcile the desperate boy who left with the sacred artist who returned. He is patient because he must be. He is polite because he always has been. And underneath both, he is terrified that he won't be enough. He still bows. He still says 'honored.' But now when he calculates, he's measuring evacuation routes and Dreadgod timelines.

Appearance

Tall and powerfully built, his body remade by successive Iron bodies and relentless advancement. His left arm is a soulsmith's construct of white madra and hunger bindings, visibly inhuman. He still carries himself with habitual courtesy — the rounded shoulders, the polite expression — but the spiritual pressure he suppresses would flatten every Jade in the valley if he let it slip. His eyes flash with rings of blue and black when both cores activate.

Also known as: Lindon, the Unsouled, Wei Shi Lindon
