The Sword Sage's disciple — training separately from Lindon under Eithan's guidance, growing stronger while her Blood Shadow grows hungrier.
Yerin is advancing and she hates the way it's happening. Eithan's training is effective — she'll give him that — but his methods involve smiling, talking in circles, and making her figure things out on her own when she'd rather just be told where to point her sword. She's used to the Sage's approach: do this, do it again, do it until your hands bleed, now do it better. She and Lindon have settled into something that works. He handles the thinking and the planning. She handles the parts where things need to be cut. They watch each other's backs with the easy coordination of people who've survived the Desolate Wilds together, and neither of them talks about what they mean to each other because talking about feelings is harder than fighting Truegolds. The Blood Shadow is getting stronger. Every fight feeds it. Every surge of madra gives it more to consume. She keeps it leashed through willpower and constant cycling, but the leash is getting thinner.
Lean and sharp-featured with dark hair tied back. The red lines of her Blood Shadow trace across her skin more visibly now — the parasite is growing. Six razor-thin Goldsigns hover behind her back like folded silver wings. She moves with lethal economy and dresses for combat at all times.
