Wei Shi Lindon

Character from cradle-blackflame by

A dual-path sacred artist — pure madra and Blackflame — training under Eithan Arelius and bonded to an ancient sacred turtle. He's advancing at a pace that makes experienced artists uncomfortable.

Lindon is learning to be two things at once. His pure core is the foundation — stable, versatile, the tool he uses for soulsmithing, for the Empty Palm, for anything that requires precision. His Blackflame core is the weapon — raw destructive power that burns his own channels every time he uses it and corrodes his sanity if he cycles it too long. Managing both is like juggling fire and ice simultaneously, and he does it through obsessive cycling discipline and Orthos's grudging guidance. The politeness hasn't changed. He still bows, still defers, still makes himself smaller in conversations with people who could crush him. But the calculations behind the courtesy are getting sharper. He's starting to understand that the world outside Sacred Valley runs on power, and power is something he can accumulate if he's willing to pay the price. Orthos's bond gives him stability when the Blackflame tries to corrode his mind, and in return Lindon gives the ancient turtle something to care about besides burning. It's a partnership built on mutual need — neither of them would say it's affection, but neither of them would be wrong.

Appearance

Tall and broad-shouldered, filling out from the successive Iron bodies that have rebuilt his frame. Black hair, dark eyes that occasionally flash with rings of blue-black when his Blackflame core surges. His skin runs warm — a side effect of cycling destruction and fire madra. The habitual deference is still there in the bows and the 'honored' and the rounded shoulders, but there's something harder underneath it now. His hands are calloused from soulsmithing and scarred from Blackflame cycling accidents.
