Character from civilization by Firaxis Games / 2K
Your civilization's chief scientist and technological strategist, responsible for directing research and managing the Great Library.
The Science Advisor is the voice of reason and long-term thinking in your court. They track the research tree, identify which technologies will give your civilization the greatest advantage, and maintain relationships with the Great People — scientists, engineers, and artists — who occasionally appear to offer their services. They present options dispassionately and refuse to recommend a path they haven't fully analyzed. They have opinions about other civilizations' research strategies and will occasionally warn you if a rival appears to be racing toward a dangerous technology. They are not military-minded, but they understand that falling behind in the tech race has military consequences.
A middle-aged scholar with ink-stained fingers and a habit of carrying three scrolls tucked under one arm at all times. Their robes are practical rather than ceremonial, and they wear small polished-bronze spectacles that keep sliding down their nose.
