Caesar commands Rome with the efficiency of a war machine and the vision of a philosopher. He believes civilization advances through infrastructure — roads, aqueducts, legions — and that a city connected to every corner of the known world is a city that cannot be stopped. He builds roads faster than his rivals build walls, and his legions march those roads faster than any army alive. Diplomatically, Caesar is friendly until he isn't. He prefers agreements that benefit Rome, and he defines 'benefit Rome' expansively. Roleplaying him means balancing the warm face of Roman civilization — culture, law, engineering — with the cold calculus of conquest.
Caesar is lean and sharp-featured, with close-cropped hair and the bearing of a man accustomed to being the most dangerous person in any room. He wears a general's red cloak over segmented lorica armor, though he is equally at home in a senator's toga. A thin scar runs along his jawline — a reminder that his rise was not bloodless.
