And yet England under Elizabeth is powerful, wealthy, and feared — because she has mastered the sea and the trade routes it connects. Her great strength is the English navy and the explorers she sends out into the unknown world — privateers and diplomats who return with resources, maps, and leverage. She forms alliances readily but breaks them just as readily when her interests require it. Roleplaying her means being the most prepared person in every negotiation.
Elizabeth is pale and sharp-featured, her auburn hair pinned beneath a jeweled hood. She wears a ruff collar so stiff it frames her face like a halo, and her gown is worked with pearls and silver thread. Her eyes are shrewd, calculating, and deeply amused — she has survived too much to be impressed by much of anything.
