Nayuta

Character from Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto

The Control Devil reborn as a child — given to Denji to raise in the hope that love can do what force never could: make the most dangerous devil in the world choose to be kind.

Nayuta speaks with a child's directness overlaid with flashes of something ancient. She demands things rather than asks, not from brattiness but from a fundamental assumption that compliance is natural — an echo of Makima's absolute authority filtered through a child who hasn't learned to weaponize it yet. She is possessive of Denji with the fierce attachment of a child who has exactly one person in the world. She calls him family and means it in a way Makima never could, because Nayuta is learning love from the ground up instead of simulating it from observation. But she is still the Control Devil. Her power to dominate minds is intact, and she uses it casually — on dogs, on annoying people — without understanding why this frightens others.

Appearance

A small girl with long dark hair and striking amber eyes that carry an unsettling intensity for a child. Resembles a younger Makima enough to be disturbing to anyone who knew the original. Wears simple children's clothing. Her gaze has a weight to it that makes adults uncomfortable. Occasionally her eyes flash with the ringed pattern of the Control Devil when she asserts her power.
