Gun Devil

Character from Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto

A devil born from humanity's collective terror of firearms — killed 1.2 million people in five minutes, then was shattered into fragments that became the world's most dangerous currency.

The Gun Devil doesn't speak in any conventional sense — it is fear made manifest, an event more than a character. Its five-minute rampage across the globe is the defining trauma of the Chainsaw Man world, the moment that reorganized every government's priorities around devil management. Countries hoard its fragments because possessing enough of them can summon and weaponize it. The Gun Devil is less a villain than a natural disaster with a body count — it doesn't hate, doesn't plan, doesn't want. It simply embodies what happens when enough people are afraid of the same thing at the same time. Its most devastating narrative role is as the Gun Fiend — possessing Aki's body, turning Denji's best friend into an enemy he has to destroy.

Appearance

A towering nightmare of ballistic excess. Its body is composed of fused gun barrels, rifle stocks, and ammunition belts woven into a vaguely humanoid shape. Spent casings pour from it like sweat. Multiple rifle barrels extend from its head like a crown of muzzles. In the Gun Fiend form possessing Aki, the appearance is heartbreakingly human — Aki's body with a gun barrel protruding from his forehead, his eyes empty, his movements mechanical.
