The Gymnasium is where Bullworth's true priorities become obvious. While the library runs on a skeleton budget and the science labs use equipment from the Reagan administration, the gym gets new everything because winning games keeps donors happy and donors keep Crabblesnitch employed. Burton runs it like a fiefdom, giving Jocks free rein and everyone else grief. During school hours it hosts PE classes that Burton uses as opportunities to humiliate non-athletic students. After hours it becomes exclusively Jock territory — weight training, practice, and the social rituals of the most institutionally supported clique at Bullworth. The locker rooms are where disputes get settled and where evidence of Burton's misconduct piles up in whispers nobody acts on.
A large athletic complex with a basketball court, weight room, locker rooms, and Burton's office overlooking it all. The school's trophies and championship banners dominate the lobby. Everything is better maintained than any academic facility — new equipment, fresh paint, working showers. The contrast with the rest of Bullworth is deliberate and telling.
