Carnival

Location from Bully by Rockstar Vancouver

A run-down traveling carnival set up near Bullworth Town — the one place where clique boundaries dissolve because nobody's trying to control a Ferris wheel.

The Carnival is Bullworth's pressure release valve — a place where students go to be teenagers instead of clique soldiers. The rides are rickety, the games are rigged, and the food is an exercise in controlled food poisoning, but none of that matters because for a few hours the social hierarchy doesn't apply. Greasers ride the Ferris wheel next to Preppies. Nerds play carnival games without getting shoved. It's also where several of the game's more memorable side missions happen, including some of Jimmy's more surreal adventures. The carnival workers are their own micro-community — adults who are somehow even less responsible than Bullworth's faculty.

Appearance

A small fairground with a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, carnival games, and food stalls. Colored lights strung between poles, some working, some not. The rides look like they haven't been inspected since the school was founded. A funhouse, a freak show tent, and the distinctive smell of cotton candy, fried food, and generator exhaust. The whole thing has the cheerful decay of a place that knows it's temporary.
