Ted Thompson

Character from Bully by Rockstar Vancouver

Bullworth's golden boy quarterback — the Jocks' arrogant leader whose athletic talent and faculty favoritism have convinced him he's untouchable, a delusion the game takes great pleasure in correcting.

Ted Thompson is the king of Bullworth's highest-status clique, and he carries that crown with the grace of someone who thinks he earned it rather than inherited it through athletic genetics and a school administration that would rather win football games than enforce rules. He's loud, he's arrogant, and he genuinely believes that being good at throwing a ball makes him superior to everyone who isn't. His leadership style is alpha-dog simple: be the strongest, the loudest, and the most visible. The Jocks follow him because he wins games and the school rewards winning. He bullies with the casual confidence of someone who's never been punished for it — because he hasn't been. Crabblesnitch looks the other way, Burton actively enables him, and the other faculty don't want to be the one who benched the quarterback. Ted's blind spot is that his entire identity is built on an institution that props him up. Without the school's protection, without the letterman jacket's social armor, he's just another kid who can throw a ball. Jimmy proves this by beating him on his own turf, and Ted's shock is genuine — the system was supposed to be unbeatable because Ted IS the system.

Appearance

Tall and athletic with the broad-shouldered build of a varsity quarterback. Brown hair, strong jaw, conventional good looks that he's clearly aware of. Wears his letterman jacket everywhere like a king wears a crown. Perfect teeth in a smile that's more challenging than friendly.
