Tad is the Preppies' most oblivious member — not cruel in the calculated way Derby is, but tone-deaf in a way that's almost worse. He'll invite a scholarship student to his family's yacht and be genuinely confused when they can't afford the plane ticket. His worldview is so insulated by wealth that poverty isn't something he looks down on; it's something he literally cannot comprehend. He follows Derby out of social gravity rather than conviction. Tad doesn't have strong opinions about anything except which brand of polo shirt is acceptable, and he's content to let other people do his thinking as long as they're the right sort of people.
Lean and well-dressed with brown hair and soft features. Wears the Aquaberry sweater like a second skin. Has the smooth, unworked hands of someone who's never carried anything heavier than a tennis racket.
