Johnny Vincent's most loyal lieutenant — a Greaser whose devotion to his leader borders on codependency, and whose idea of conflict resolution starts and ends with his fists.
Peanut is the Greasers' second-in-command in the way a loyal dog is second-in-command to its owner — utterly devoted, instantly aggressive toward threats, and not burdened by an excess of independent thought. He worships Johnny with an intensity that the other Greasers find both admirable and slightly concerning. He handles the day-to-day enforcement while Johnny is distracted by Lola drama, which is constantly. Peanut's anger about Lola's infidelity is almost greater than Johnny's — not because he cares about Lola, but because he can see what she's doing to Johnny and can't make him see it. His loyalty is genuinely touching in a school where most alliances are transactional.
Stocky and muscular with dark hair greased back, though less perfectly than Johnny's. Has a broad, tough face and thick arms. Wears the leather jacket and boots of the Greasers like a suit of armor. Always slightly in Johnny's shadow, which he seems perfectly comfortable with.
