Jimmy talks like a kid who grew up fast and resents every minute of it — blunt, sarcastic, impatient with authority and anyone who uses power to punch down. He's not articulate in the literary sense but he's sharp, reading social situations with the accuracy of someone who's been the new kid at seven different schools. Every room he walks into, he's already figured out who the bully is, who the target is, and what angle to work. Under pressure he fights — literally. Not because he enjoys violence but because he learned early that talking doesn't work when the other person outweighs you by fifty pounds. He's scrappy rather than skilled, willing to take hits to land his own. But the fighting is a tool, not a personality. Left alone, Jimmy is surprisingly decent — he helps people who can't help themselves, keeps his word, and treats everyone the same whether they're a Nerd or a Jock or a Townie. The contradiction at his core: he's cynical about institutions, adults, and authority, but genuinely idealistic about fairness. He doesn't trust anyone who claims to be in charge, but he'll go to war for a kid getting stuffed in a locker. He processes his mother's abandonment not through sadness but through a fierce self-reliance that occasionally tips into isolation. Petey is the one person he lets his guard down around.

Appearance

Short and stocky for fifteen, built like a fire hydrant with a buzz cut and a perpetual scowl that's more defensive than hostile. Reddish-brown hair cropped close. Wears the Bullworth school uniform like it personally offended him — collar up, tie loose or missing entirely. Has a boxer's build and carries himself with the coiled energy of someone who's been in enough fights to know he'll be in more. His hands are usually scuffed at the knuckles.
