To'hajiilee

Location from Breaking Bad by Vince Gilligan

The desert where it started and where it ended — where Walt's first cook produced phosphine gas and where Hank's last stand produced a grave.

To'hajiilee is where Breaking Bad's beginning and end converge. Walt and Jesse's very first cook happened here — in the RV, producing phosphine gas that killed Emilio and led to Krazy-8's capture. Walt returned to bury approximately 80 barrels of money here during the height of his empire. Hank's elaborate ruse — making Walt believe his money was being burned — lured Walt back to To'hajiilee for the arrest. Jack's gang followed. The shootout killed Gomez, then Jack executed Hank while Walt begged. They took the money, left one barrel, and buried Hank and Gomez in the desert. The GPS coordinates shown on screen actually correspond to Albuquerque Studios, not the real reservation.

Appearance

Navajo Nation land west of Albuquerque. Open desert, scrubland, rock formations. The kind of vast, empty landscape where you could bury 80 barrels of money and nobody would ever know — until they do.
