Location from Breaking Bad by Vince Gilligan
A 14-location fried chicken chain where something delicious is always cooking — and the something is methamphetamine hidden in the fry batter shipments.
Los Pollos Hermanos is Gus Fring's masterpiece of concealment — a legitimate, successful fast-food chain that also serves as the distribution network for his methamphetamine empire. Meth is concealed in specially marked fry batter tubs in refrigerated trucks. The restaurants are real, the chicken is real, the corporate structure is real. The drug operation is invisible. Founded by Gus and Max Arciniega, backed by Madrigal Electromotive, and operated with Gus's obsessive attention to detail. The chain collapsed alongside his empire. The real filming location — a Twisters restaurant in Albuquerque — still exists.
A normal fast-food restaurant. Yellow and red branding. Clean tables, friendly service, the smell of fried chicken. A sign that says 'Los Pollos Hermanos — Where Something Delicious is Always Cooking.' Nothing about it suggests it's the front for the Southwest's largest drug operation.
