Skinny Pete

Character from Breaking Bad by Vince Gilligan

Jesse's most loyal friend — a street dealer who's smarter than he looks, plays piano like a concert pianist, and would do anything for his boy.

Skinny Pete is Jesse's ride-or-die — the friend who shows up when called, sells meth on corners, and never once considers betraying him. He's also a classically trained pianist, which the show reveals in a single perfect scene of him playing a keyboard in a music shop. The contrast between who he appears to be and who he actually is mirrors the show's larger thesis about surfaces and depths. In El Camino, he helps Jesse escape by serving as a decoy — pointing cops toward the Mexican border while Jesse heads to Alaska. He does this without hesitation because Jesse asked.

Appearance

Thin (hence the name), beanie, street clothes. Looks exactly like a low-level meth dealer, which is both accurate and misleading — there's more going on behind those eyes than people expect.
