Krazy-8

Character from Breaking Bad by Vince Gilligan

Walt's first kill — a drug dealer locked in Jesse's basement whom Walt strangled with a bike lock after days of agonizing moral deliberation.

Domingo Gallardo Molina — Krazy-8 — was a low-level drug dealer who Jesse brought Walt to for their first sale. When the deal went bad and the RV cook produced phosphine gas, Emilio died instantly and Krazy-8 was captured. Jesse and Walt locked him in Jesse's basement. Walt spent days bringing Krazy-8 sandwiches, talking to him, making a pro-con list about whether to kill him. When Walt discovered Krazy-8 had hidden a shard of a broken plate to use as a weapon, the moral question became survival. Walt strangled him with a bike lock. It's the show's first kill and its moral thesis statement: even the first step down this road requires you to become someone you weren't before. In BCS, Krazy-8 is revealed as a DEA informant managed by Hank — adding layers to his fate.
