Gomez is Hank's partner — the person who backed him when everyone else thought the Heisenberg obsession was a dead end. He's loyal, professional, and good at his job in the way that gets you killed in a show where loyalty is a liability. He died at To'hajiilee alongside Hank, killed by Jack Welker's gang. His body was buried in the desert with Hank's. His sacrifice gets less attention than Hank's because the show needed a secondary death to prove the threat was real, and Gomez drew that card.
