The Quincy Cross embodies the fundamental philosophical split between Shinigami and Quincy. Shinigami purify Hollows with Zanpakutō, sending the soul to Soul Society. Quincy destroy Hollows entirely with reishi arrows, erasing them from the cycle of reincarnation. This difference nearly collapsed the balance of souls and led to the Shinigami genocide of the Quincy a thousand years ago. The cross itself is a focus — Quincy power comes from absorbing ambient reishi (spirit particles), not generating it internally like Shinigami. This makes Quincy stronger in spirit-rich environments like Soul Society and Hueco Mundo, where everything is made of reishi. Advanced Quincy techniques include Hirenkyaku (flash step equivalent), Blut (blood-reinforced defense/offense), and Letzt Stil (final form that burns out the user's powers).
A small silver five-pointed cross worn as a pendant or bracelet. When activated, reishi gathers around it and forms a glowing blue bow.
