Tōshirō Hitsugaya's Zanpakutō — the most powerful ice-type in Soul Society, manifesting as an ice dragon that freezes everything it touches and granting its wielder wings of ice in Bankai.
Hyōrinmaru is the strongest ice Zanpakutō ever forged, and its power scales with Tōshirō's age and maturity — a detail that makes it unique among captain-class weapons. The spirit is a massive ice dragon, regal and patient, and the bond between wielder and spirit is unusually harmonious. In Shikai, Tōshirō controls weather itself: generating ice from ambient moisture, creating blizzards, and forming the signature dragon projectile. Bankai amplifies everything — the ice flowers behind him are a countdown timer, and when the last petal falls, his Bankai ends. However, Kubo revealed that Tōshirō's Bankai has an adult form: when all petals fall, the ice restructures into a mature version where Tōshirō ages up and gains the power to flash-freeze anything in four seconds flat.
