Shikai abilities include: Nake (Cry) — blood-red energy blast; Chikasumi no Tate (Blood Mist Shield) — defensive barrier; Shibari (Binding) — net of crimson energy; Hiasobi (Fire Play) — detonation of energy net.
• Bankai: Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame (Rearranging the Opened Crimson Princess) — summons a giant woman that can restructure anything it touches at will. It can split apart and stitch back together anything — flesh, reiatsu, even Aizen's Kyōka Suigetsu. The most versatile Bankai ever shown.
• Created the Hōgyoku — a device that breaks the boundary between Shinigami and Hollow, manifesting the desires of those around it. His greatest invention and greatest regret.
